July Summer Library Program Calendar

Program Descriptions

July 3 — Kindness Rocks (All Ages)

Come decorate rocks and spread kindness! We will be painting rocks to hide around town or to keep at 3:30pm, and everything needed will be provided.

July 7 — Mission Impossible (12+)

Join us at 3:30pm for a group exercise that teaches self-management and cooperation through a series of missions that must be completed. Are you up for the task, agent?

July 13 — Friendship Bracelets (All Ages)

Calling all besties! Come up to the library at any point during the day to create friendship bracelets. We will be providing embroidery floss and beads, so all you need to bring is your best friend.

July 18 — Story Hour (0-11)

On the third Tuesday of every month at 3:30pm, we're hosting a Story Hour. This summer, we will be reading from books that fit with the Coordinated Summer Library Program theme of "All Together Now: Kindness, Friendship, and Unity".

July 21 — Bingo for Books (All Ages)

Join us at 3:30pm for bingo! Winners receive a free book of their choice from our book sale.

July 24 — Plant Positivity (12+)

Come in at any point to decorate mini flower pots to keep on your desk or on a windowsill to remind you to think positively! We will be providing the flower pots, supplies for decorating, soil, and seeds.

Continuous Summer Programs

Punch Card Bookmark (All Ages)

Stop by and grab a free bookmark. Every time you check out books from our library, we'll punch a hole in the bookmark. When the bookmark is completed, you'll get a free book of your choice from our book sale.

Genre Challenge (All Ages)

We dare you to read at least one book from every genre a year. Find the form on our blog to keep track of it at https://mckenzielibrary731.wixsite.com/mcklibrary/post/genre-challenge-tracker and rate and review the genre.
