Continuous Summer Programs

Story Hour (3-8)

On the third Tuesday of every month at 3:30pm, we're hosting a Story Hour. This summer, we will be reading from books that fit with the Coordinated Summer Library Program theme of "All Together Now: Kindness, Friendship, and Unity".

Big Words (8-18)

Every Monday, the library will post the Word of the Week. Write the most creative sentence using this word you can think of and submit it by 4pm every Thursday. The winner will have their sentence posted across our social media platforms.

Punch Card Bookmark (All Ages)

Stop by and grab a free bookmark. Every time you check out books from our library, we'll punch a hole in the bookmark. When the bookmark is completed, you'll get a free book of your choice from our book sale.

Genre Challenge (All Ages)

We dare you to read at least one book from every genre a year. Find the form to keep track of it on our blog (https://mckenzielibrary731.wixsite.com/mcklibrary/post/genre-challenge-tracker) and rate and review the genre.

Get Caught Reading (5-18)

Take a selfie or have someone take a picture of you reading in a cool, unconventional place and post it to our Facebook page with the hashtag "#GetCaughtReading". The coolest photo of every month will win a free small cone from McKenzie Dairy Queen.
